Greenock-born Anne McKay is a graduate of Glasgow School of Art, which she attended during the 1980s. From 1990 until 2004. She is a qualified Art and Design teacher and has been working with 'Moving on Inverclyde' tutoring Drawing and Painting to those in recovery from alcohol and substance abuse.
Anne is a full time artist. Her artwork includes portraits, landscapes, figure compositions and still life.
She lives in Gourock and like many of the Absent Voices artists has a close personal connection to the sugar industry in the town.
